The Clifton Hill Cricket Club held its Annual General Meeting by teleconference on 10 May.
At the meeting, we gave our thanks to the following retiring Committee members:

Liddy Clark who has been tireless in her service to the club in general, and to the cause of Womens cricket in particular for the last few years. While Mega will not be on the committee this coming season, she is still a force to be reckoned with and will be making a contribution to our club in other ways.

Louis McGlade, one of the cornerstones of the club's social committee has also stepped down after a stint on the committee. Louis has done a lot of work behind the scenes on our social functions, working behind the bar and making sure we have a stocked fridge to enjoy on Thursday and Saturday nights.

Danielle Meyer, our outgoing Treasurer retired from the Committee mainly due to work commitments. Chats has made a very important contribution to our financial well-being in her role and, work commitments permitting, she will still be a fixture at our club.

Sarah Sheridan, a major contributor on our communications platforms has also had to take a step back due to work commitments that will take her away from Ramsden St for large parts of the season.

From all of us at the Club, Thank you for your service.

We also welcomed four new additions to the Committee at the AGM:

Louis Burstin

Mark Jones

Rachel Jones (who will play the role of Treasurer), and

Claire Williamson.

They join myself; Ben Caplikas (Vice President); Callen Behmer (Secretary); Matthew Lynas (Junior Coordinator); and Stephen Cotter, Rebekah Drake and Tom Robinson as general committee members.

The club is in sound financial shape and while this coming season shapes up as being challenging on a number of fronts given COVID-19 your club is in a very good position.

Regarding the start of the Season 20/21, we now have some clarity from the ECA that the Junior Season is likely to start on 16 October and the Senior season 23 October. It will be a quick change-over from a delayed and extended footy season coupled with a re-laying of the wicket at Ramsden St. We are in close contact with the CoY and Parks Victoria to ensure our grounds are as accessible as possible.

We will be in touch closer to the season start to notify everyone about pre-season dates and getting organised.

As always, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Adam Lewis

President
